Israeli prime minster sees ‘encouraging signs’ that US and Europe will not agree to new Iran nuclear deal

After months of negotiations, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid stated Sunday there are “encouraging indicators” that the US and European allies won’t comply with a brand new nuclear take care of Iran.

Iran submitted a proposal earlier this month to the European Union, which has been mediating negotiations between Tehran and Washington for months, however Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated it was unproductive. 

“In previous weeks, we closed some gaps. Iran had moved away from some extraneous calls for, calls for unrelated to the JCPOA itself,” Blinken stated Friday at NATO headquarters in Belgium. 

“Nevertheless, the newest response takes us backwards, and we’re not about to comply with a deal that does not meet our bottom-line necessities.”
